Malvern St James is a boarding and day school for girls between the ages of 7 and 18, established in 2006 from the merger of Malvern Girls’ College and St James’s School. Situated at the foot of Malvern Hills, on the Malvern Girls’ College site, Malvern St James welcomes boarders aged 9-18 and day girls aged 7-18.

At Malvern St James, we are committed to being at the forefront of all girls’ education and aim to provide each girl with the stimulus and encouragement she needs to develop her academic abilities to the full, foster and encourage a wide range of interests and develop a sense of personal values and responsibilities. We complement this individual emphasis with teamwork and a sense of collective responsibility.

The school provides an all-round caring education that is dynamic and forward thinking within the framework of a caring and supportive community and reflects traditional values.

In our teaching we will believe in making learning enjoyable, supplementing traditional approaches with innovative teaching methods, to ensure that our students are interested and focused on each subject. Skilled help is available through the Learning Enhancement Department for girls with Dyslexia

By offering a wider choice of subjects that demanded by the National Curriculum guidelines, we meet the needs of girls with exceptional talents and wide-ranging interests.

The new Drama Theatre Workshop, state of the art Science Centre and multi-media Language Centre all provide girls with access the most up-to-date teaching facilities.

Future areas of development and investment include a new sports hall, swimming pool, and refurbished boarding accommodation.

At Malvern St James, we understand the pressures of modern day life and have created weekly boarding and new day girl options which offer flexibility of choice to both parents and girls.

We offer a varied programme of weekend and extra curricular activities including: music, drama, abseiling, canoeing, rock climbing, photography and expeditions leading to the Duke of Edinburgh award.

Malvern St James is close to the M5 and M50 motorways and has good rail links with London and Birmingham, Great Malvern train station is situated opposite the main school. There is also a daily school mini bus service from Hereford.
